2003 Holland Lop Archive

Updated 2/8/03

I went to the Angelus Ranus 4-H Rabbit Show on 2/8. Tsukiyo's Rain earned her 4th Leg. I have been looking for a Holland Lop buck for the past six months and I finally found one I liked. He is a 4 month old Broken Tortoise Shell. The breeder, Kelli Flanagan of Hilltop Hollands, wanted him to go to a good home so she gave him to me.

I went to the Silver Sage R&CBA Show on 7/13/02. Schmidt's HH Phebe (aka Sheila), earned her 2nd Leg. I bought a Mini Rex, Castor doe named Tsukiyo's Rain. I put my Holland Lop buck, Stu, in the raffle. He was not the quality I wanted to breed with my Holland Lop doe, Sheila.

I went to the Emerald Star Project Benefit Show on 10/12/02. Darwin won Best Opposite of Variety in Show A. Best of Variety and Best Opposite Breed in Show B, and earned his 5th Leg. Rain won Best Opposite Variety and earned her 1st Leg.

I went to the Valley Youth Hare Brains Show on 11/2/02. Sheila earned her 3rd Leg and became a Grand Champion.

I went to the Murphys 4-H Rabbit Project Show on 1/11. Rain won Best Opposite of Variety and earned her 2nd Leg.

I went to the Big Valley Rabbit Association Show on 2/1. Rain earned her 3rd Leg and became a Grand Champion.

I bred my Holland Lop doe, Sheila, with my Mini Rex buck, Darwin, on 1/12. I bred her with a different breed because she has never bred before and she is over the "safe" Holland Lop breeding age. If she doesn't have any trouble with the smaller heads of the Mini Rex/Holland Lop kits, I plan to breed her with a Holland Lop. Her kits are due on 2/11.

I bred my Grand Champion Mini Rex doe, Rain, with my Grand Champion Mini Rex buck, Darwin, on 2/2. Her kits are due on 3/4.

I am going to the Angelus Ranus 4-H Double Youth Rabbit Show on 2/8. I entered Rain before she became a Grand Champion.
