School started on 8/23 with our annual pot luck. The workshops I signed up for this year are Anatomy & Physiology Lab, Microbiology Lab, Chemistry Lab, Teen Group, Drama, Field Hockey, & Academic Decathlon. The Lab classes are 10 week classes that begin with Anatomy & Physiology followed by Microbiology then Chemistry.
My school subjects include English, US History, Algebra 2, Anatomy & Physiology with Lab, SAT, French, German, and PE. I am busy with school this year because I am taking college prep courses and Algebra 2 takes me 1-2 hours to complete a lesson.
Our Drama class will be performing the play Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare in January 2006.
Field Hockey will begin within the next couple of weeks. We have been unable to begin this class because we were unable to find a field that we could play on.
We had our first teen social on Friday, 10/1. The activities included DDR, Twister, Dancing, Socializing and playing tag. It's always nice to be able to hang out with friends.

I have returned home from fair and am now fully recovered. We were able to get the tack stall this year and it sure made cleaning, milking, and feeding a lot easier.
Our 4-H shade garden took 2nd place this year. We compete against adults and this is the best placement we have ever had. We compete against three other shade gardens and we usually get 3rd or 4th place.
The animal results are posted on the individual animal pages.

I finally got my Driver's Permit. I took my first two hour driving lesson with the driving school instructor and now I get to drive my Mom and Dad around. I will be able to apply for my Driver's License after I have been driving six months on my permit which will be on January 1, 2006.
I have about two and a half weeks until Fair time. Our fair has four covered tack stalls that can be used by 4-H, FFA, and Grange clubs when they are free of weeds. John, a Sierra Eagles 4-H Club member went to the fairgrounds today with a weedeater and cleared an area for our club. This is the second time in 6 years that our club has been able to get one of the tack stalls. It is much easier to have our supplies by the animals than it is to have to remember and cart everything from the motorhome.
Our 4-H Club has a shade garden at the fair that needs to be planted by Wednesday, 7/13. I don't think we have anything else to plant. We can do the weeding and add our non-plant accessories to the garden until Wednesday, 7/27, since it will be judged on Thursday, 7/28, at 9 a.m.
We will pack and take our Motorhome to the fairgrounds on Sunday, 7/24. On Monday, 7/25, we will be packing up the truck and livestock trailer with our feed and supplies.
We will pack up the animals and try and leave early Tuesday, 7/26, since the animals must be in place by 3 p.m. The 4-H Livestock Exhibitors Meeting and 4-H Leaders Meeting are scheduled for 4 p.m. followed by Jr. Livestock Weigh In. After weigh in we are supplied Hamburgers, sodas, water, etc.
Starting Wednesday, 7/27, I will need to get up by 6:30 a.m. every morning of the fair because the pens need to be cleaned by 7:45 a.m. I will have one lamb pen, four goat pens, and three rabbit cages. Since my brother isn't taking any lambs this year he will be cleaning two of the goat pens for me.
My first show starts in the morning on Wednesday, 7/27. I will be taking and exhibiting three Holland Lop Rabbits. The same evening we will be having our "Club" pizza party. After the party we will be putting together our Sierra Eagles 4-H booth.
The fair officially opens on Thursday, 7/28. My next show will be in the afternoon. I will be taking and exhibiting seven Dairy Goats. That evening I will be cleaning and fitting my lambs for their Friday morning show.
On the morning of Friday, 7/29, I will be showing my market lambs.
I don't have anything else to show until the Junior Livestock Auction on Sunday, 7/31. Since sheep are second to the last on the sale order, it looks like it will be mid afternoon before they will be auctioned. I will have plenty of time to clean my lambs that morning.
On Sunday, 7/31, the animals are released at 6 p.m. We help Mom & Dad pack up the animals and they take them home. They come back and pack up the motorhome and then when the Destruction Derby is over or when the fair closes at midnight we go home.
It usually takes us a few days to recover from lack of sleep, but I will start preparing for next year by breeding my animals so they will be ready for the 2006 Amador County Fair.

I had a great time at Sober Grad this year. I rode the Zipper a bunch of times.
Now that school is officially out for the summer, I have been staying busy cleaning my room and doing outside chores.
I am also getting ready for our 2005 Amador County Fair which is 7/28 through 7/31.

I went to my School Prom with my long time friend, John. It was held at the same hall as our Etiquette Dance.
I completed my Driver's Education class on 5/15. I still need to go to the DMV Office and get my Driver's Permit.
I am getting ready for our school Rafting Trip at the Klamath River. We are leaving 5/31 and returning home on 6/3. I am excited about this trip because I had a great time last year.
My school is having their End-of-the-Year School Party on 6/7. We are all invited to go to a park in Jackson at 10:30 a.m. to play softball. After the game we all have lunch and socialize. The pool opens at 1:30 p.m. and we get to swim until 3:00 p.m.
Our county has an annual "Sober Graduation" celebration at the Sutter Creek Picnic grounds. It is for High School students grades 9-12. This year the celebration is on 6/10 from 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. The activities include carnival rides, interactive games, dancing, Monte Carlo casino, greased pole for cash prizes, dance videos, bingo, and all you can eat food. My brother and I went last year and plan to go this year also.

We performed a Drama production called "The Miser" on 3/24, 3/25, & 3/26. I woke up with a cold the morning of our first performance in front of an audience. I made it through the performance but I really didn't like the hair style I had to wear, my dad didn't even recognize me. My cold started getting better the day after our last performance.
The Etiquette class that I was looking forward to was cancelled because there wasn't enough interest. We still had the formal dance and I had a great time.
I will begin a Driver's Education class this weekend, 4/30 & 5/1. Because it is Mother's Day on 5/8, our next class won't be until 5/14 & 5/15. Once I complete the Driver's Ed class, I can apply for my Driver's Permit so I can learn to drive on the street.

I celebrated my 16th Birthday in January. I've been busy with my animals and school and unable to update my web page. I just completed my CAHSEE (California High School Exit Exam).
I started a Biology workshop in addition to Teen Group and Drama. We did the dissection at school and then we were to identify and draw the specimen at home. Since I plan to become a Veterinarian, I was happy to have Biology offered as a workshop. Our Biology workshop is now complete.
We will begin our Etiquette class on 4/4, the day we return to school from Spring break. We will have two 4-hour classes of etiquette this year with the dance being held 4/15. I had a great time at the dance last year and am looking forward to it this year.
Our school is putting on a Drama production called "The Miser". My brother and I are both in the play this year, and will begin practicing on a daily basis starting tomorrow. We are performing at the local theater on 3/25 & 3/26.
